Well...
I don't know what to say. I'm blindsided by the last week and a half. Chris talked to his college person and they told him that they are unwilling or unable to pay for an au pair to care for Lee but they are willing to pay for an after school creche so that means that I am once again out of a job. But I found a family that wants to take me in and they live in Donabate which is only 15 minutes outside of swords so it won't be a big move. Still though its relatively nerve racking. I move in two days and I'll have an address and phone number soon I've emailed Gillian and she'll probably get back to me tomorrow. I don't know what I'm going to do if this one doesn't work out.

Ok so I suck at this
OK so I'm not the best at blogging. Its hard to motivate yourself to sit down and just do it. But here I am. what has happened in the last month... well when I arrived I was super tired and I slept for two days straight. When I say days I mean days. I didn't sleep at night. night time was when I stared at the ceiling and realised what I had committed to. A year. I don't know if you guys realise this but a year is a long time. I was lonely and I had no way of calling home. Then 4 days after my arrival Deborah received the news that Hugo need more care than an Au pair would be able to provide. So I had to find a new family. That was on the Wednesday. On the Saturday I met with the Gallagher family. I moved in on Monday. That was my meat free week. It was awful. I would be a terrible vegetarian. I've been here for the last four weeks and I really like it. Denise and Christopher are great, and lee is a fantastic kid. The weekend past he broke his leg when an elderly man fell on him so for the first two days of this week Lee and I have been vegging on the couch, doing puzzles, and drawing. Oh and working on his walking in our spare time.
I've been making friends, slowly but surely. I met Kyle on the website of the program that facilitated our visas. He has been staying in hostels so for the past couple of weekends I've gone out with him and anyone that he's met in the hostels. Its a good system. He meets people and I tag along and turn on the charm. The old hook and reel routine. Him being the hook and me being the reel.
Lately I've been feeling kinda homesick. But I've commissioned a few care packages so I should be alright. Thanksgiving is coming up and I'm still not sure what I'm going to do. I may stay at home and make a thanksgiving dinner for the family here. Option B is that I go to Kyles and we do thanksgiving with any Canadians we can find. I dunno. either way. Well I'm off to do more walking with lee. Much love to everyone.
